The key to managing people is to figure out the way they operate. If they’re detail-oriented people it’s more likely they will want to hear detailed reports and specific numbers. If they’re result-oriented, they’re more likely to want to know what has been produced and what action is happening.
Communicate what you need
Managers aren’t mind readers so when you need something of them, make sure to let them know. It might just be letting them know how you like to work so they understand you have a particular way of doing things.
